FIREFOX IP CHANGER [SUPPORT PAGE]

Once installed, using the IP Address Changer should be as easy as selecting a country from the dropdown menu. If you're still having trouble after reviewing the information below, please contact us for assistance.

I DOWNLOADED THE IP CHANGER BUT DO NOT SEE IT ON MY COMPUTER

Try downloading again, and this time be sure to save it to your Desktop instead of the default download location.
 

THERE ARE NO COUNTRIES APPEARING IN THE FIREFOX IP CHANGER

You still need to download the IP/country settings from iPrivacyTools.com/update. On that updating page, be sure to RIGHT-click the link and save the settings to your C:/WINNT or C:/Windows folders (the "WINNT" and "Windows" folders are subdirectories of your C:Drive). Then simply close and re-open Firefox to register the new settings.

Our most frequent issue is failure to RIGHT-click on the updating link. If you're right handed, this means using your middle-finger to click the link.

WHEN I SELECT A COUNTRY MY IP ADDRESS STAYS THE SAME

a) Some web pages might find your ip address with cookies or Javascript. Try deleting cookies on the Firefox menu for Tools->"Clear Private Data". You can also disable Javascript under Tools->Options->Content->UNcheck Enable Javascript.

b) Make sure that the web page you're using to find your IP address is not cached by clicking Reload or Refresh on your browser. Even better would be to use a different website to check your IP address.

Please note that your login for the servers is the same as the login you used for downloading. If you have forgotten your username or password, please click here to have it emailed to you.
 

MY INTERNET CONNECTION IS SLOWING DOWN

Remember that your Internet traffic is traveling around the world (or to the country you select) before it comes back to you. And proxy servers are subject to traffic spikes, maintenance shutdowns, etc. If a particular selection is giving you trouble, try using another. Also, most users only use a proxy when visiting sites where they're concerned about their IP address being displayed. At all other times you can surf via your direct connection by selecting "Clear" on the dropdown menu.
